- "Margo's Got Money Troubles" has been renewed for a second season at Apple TV, with the announcement arriving before the show's Season 1 finale on May 20.
- Eva Anderson will join series creator David E. Kelley as co-showrunner on Season 2, expanding the series' creative leadership.
- The A24-produced series is based on Rufi Thorpe's 2024 novel and stars Elle Fanning as the title character alongside Michelle Pfeiffer, Nick Offerman, Nicole Kidman, Thaddea Graham, Marcia Gay Harden, and Greg Kinnear.
- Executive producers include Kelley, Elle and Dakota Fanning (via Lewellen Pictures), Kidman and Per Saari (via Blossom Films), Pfeiffer, Thorpe, and Anderson, with directing from Dearbhla Walsh, Kate Herron, and Alice Seabright.
- In a statement, Fanning called continuing Margo's story 'incredibly happy and exciting' and promised 'a wild, messy and beautiful ride,' while Apple TV head of programming Matt Cherniss said audiences 'wanted to spend more time with these riveting characters.'
Why it matters: Apple TV is locking in an A24-produced prestige series before its Season 1 finale on May 20, and adding Eva Anderson as co-showrunner alongside David E. Kelley signals the writers' room will expand in Season 2. The early renewal keeps stars Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Nicole Kidman attached to a buzzy family-saga property.
