- Northwoods Theater Group opens Emagine Parker in Parker, Colorado this Wednesday, a 32,000-square-foot venue with ten auditoriums that marks the family-owned chain's first Colorado location and ends a year-long stretch without a theater in the area.
- Emagine Parker features luxury heated recliners, premium EMX large-format auditoriums, Dolby Atmos sound, 4K projection, expanded food and beverage offerings, a full-service bar, and Northwoods' first-ever self-ordering guest experience.
- Northwoods owner Jon Goldstein called the opening "an incredibly exciting moment for our entire organization" and said the goal was to build "something Parker didn't already have" — a premium entertainment destination combining movies, food and drink, and atmosphere.
- Opening week films at the new venue include "Toy Story 5," "Minions & Monsters," "Supergirl," "Disclosure Day," and "Jackass: Best and Last."
- The theater is located roughly 30 minutes outside Denver, giving the chain a foothold in the Colorado market.
Why it matters: Parker-area moviegoers regain a local cinema after a full year without one, while Northwoods — a family-owned chain — plants its first Colorado flag with premium amenities (heated recliners, Dolby Atmos, 4K, full bar) designed to compete with larger national chains on experience rather than price.
