- U.S. Department of the Treasury on July 1, 2026 deleted RRG Engineering Technologies, Lokesh Machines, Galaxy Bearings, and Shaurya Aeronautics from OFAC's Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) List, ending the sanctions imposed on them for alleged supply of advanced tech to Russia's military-industrial base.
- Galaxy Bearings (Ahmedabad) had been sanctioned in October 2024 over accusations it exported dozens of high-priority dual-use items, including roller bearings and roller assemblies, to Russian entities.
- Shaurya Aeronautics (New Delhi) was sanctioned for allegedly shipping radar apparatus, radio navigational aid apparatus, radio remote control apparatus, and electrical apparatus to Russia.
- RRG Engineering Technologies (Hyderabad) was accused of sending over 100 shipments of microelectronics to SDN-listed Russian firm Arteks Limited Company.
- Lokesh Machines Limited was accused of sending dozens of shipments of machine tools to various Russian manufacturing companies.
- OFAC's de-listing restores the four firms' ability to transact with U.S. persons and removes the asset-blocking and transaction-prohibiting effects of SDN designation.
Why it matters: The de-listing lifts asset freezes and transaction bans on four firms once flagged as key nodes in cross-border flows of dual-use goods — microelectronics, machine tools, radar and navigation equipment — to Russian military manufacturers, meaning they can now resume dollar-clearing and dealings with U.S. counterparties without the SDN penalty.
