- Jason Moloney signed a multi-fight contract with Zuffa Boxing, with the Australian former bantamweight world champion (29-4, 20 KOs) saying the promotion's philosophy of matching "the best against the best" is exactly what he wants.
- Moloney won the bantamweight world title in 2023 by defeating Filipino fighter Vincent Astrolabio, then made one successful 12-round defense against Saul Sanchez before losing the belt to Japan's Yoshiki Takei in Tokyo in 2024.
- Moloney enters Zuffa as the WBC's current No. 3-ranked bantamweight contender and is openly targeting another world title as soon as possible.
- Moloney's most recent outing was a unanimous decision win over Andre Donovan in July, the result that preceded his jump to the UFC-affiliated boxing promotion.
- Zuffa Boxing 10 is scheduled for Saturday, August 8 at Dublin's 3Arena, headlined by a middleweight world title clash between Ireland's Aaron McKenna and Italy's Etinosa Oliha and airing live on Sky Sports.
Why it matters: Moloney brings a former-champion résumé and a top-three WBC ranking to a Zuffa roster still building credibility in the boxing world, giving the promotion a ready-made title contender in the bantamweight division while positioning the Australian for a quicker path back to a belt than his current free-agent standing might allow.
