Ukraine Launches 390+ Drones at Moscow Region

- Ukraine launched more than 390 drones toward Moscow and Moscow region starting the evening of July 27, with Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin saying most were intercepted "on the far approaches" and 81 destroyed near the capital

- Russian air defenses reported shooting down 356 Ukrainian drones overnight July 28 over Russian regions, occupied Crimea, and the Sea of Azov, though the Defense Ministry only counts drones it intercepts, not total launches
- A 3PL logistics warehouse in Koledino, Podolsk caught fire; a nearby Wildberries warehouse operated "as normal" per the company, and 3PL's partners include major Russian grocery chains Auchan, Pyaterochka, Magnit, Lenta, and Perekrestok
- Wildberries warehouses have been targeted by Ukrainian drones since July 18 across Moscow, Tambov, Krasnodar, Stavropol, Leningrad, Voronezh, and St. Petersburg regions plus occupied Crimea, with Ukrainian authorities stating the facilities store drone components
Why it matters: The 390-drone salvo is the largest single attack on Moscow and its region to date, part of a campaign since July 18 that has hit Wildberries logistics sites across at least seven Russian regions — facilities Ukrainian authorities explicitly say store drone components — while Russia's Defense Ministry admits it only tracks drones it shoots down, not total launches.
