- The Walt Disney Company Limited generated more than £4.4 billion ($5.8 billion) in revenue for the fiscal year ending Sept. 27, 2025, an 11.1% increase year-on-year according to filings at U.K. Companies House.
- Post-tax profits climbed 37.7%, rising from £589 million to £811 million over the same period, with Disney+ subscriber growth, price increases, and box office from "Moana 2" and live-action "Lilo & Stitch" cited as the primary drivers.
- European operations delivered 95.6% of the subsidiary's revenue, with the remainder coming from the rest of the world, underscoring the U.K. entity's role as Disney's main continental hub.
- Stage revenue was largely absent for most of the reporting period: West End "Frozen" closed in September 2024 after a three-year run, and "Hercules" did not open until June 2025, a gap the company overcame with streaming and film results.
- Headcount grew by 95 employees to an average of 1,981 per month, with entertainment staff rising to 1,160 and experiences staff ticking up to 461, while corporate roles fell from 385 to 360.
- Aggregate payroll costs actually declined slightly, from £266.2 million to £260.8 million, even as total headcount increased.
Why it matters: The 37.7% jump in post-tax profit on 11.1% revenue growth signals meaningful operating leverage inside Disney's U.K. engine, and the company hit those numbers despite losing most of the fiscal year's West End stage income — a gap closed by Disney+ pricing power and two theatrical tentpoles.
