- The Odyssey topped the South Korean box office during the Aug. 14–16 weekend, earning $13.2 million from 1,691,744 admissions across 2,114 screens and capturing 59.07% of the total market.
- The Odyssey grew its sophomore session by nearly 28%, lifting its cumulative South Korean gross to $35.2 million from 4,542,480 admissions since its Aug. 5 launch.
- Spider-Man: Brand New Day held second place in its third weekend with $5.6 million (25.47% market share), pushing its cumulative to $53.5 million from 7,279,373 admissions.
- Local action-comedy Ok! Madam: Bon Voyage opened fourth with $827,800, while Detective Conan the Movie: Fallen Angel of the Highway took fifth with $831,509 in its second frame.
- Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie debuted sixth with $272,230, and Na Hong-Jin's sci-fi survival thriller Hope was seventh, pushing its cumulative to $33.8 million from 4,475,560 ticket buyers.
- A re-release of Bohemian Rhapsody rounded out the top ten, extending its historic South Korean cumulative gross to $60.9 million from 9,954,658 tickets sold.
- The overall Korean weekend market grossed $22.3 million, nearly flat with the prior weekend's $22.9 million.
Why it matters: "The Odyssey" captured nearly 60% of an entire national weekend market while still growing admissions ~28% in its second frame — an unusually strong hold. The film now sits at $35.2 million cumulative in Korea after just ten days, outpacing "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" in per-weekend pace despite the superhero film already banking $53.5 million over three weekends.
