- 4:44, released in 2017, remains Jay-Z's most recent solo album; critics praised its vulnerability, including Jay-Z's apologies for past infidelity, and he followed it a year later with the collaborative LP Everything Is Love alongside Beyoncé.
- Jay-Z will headline two nights at Yankee Stadium on July 10 and 11, performing Reasonable Doubt in full on night one and The Blueprint on night two to mark The Blueprint's 25th anniversary.
- Jay-Z also booked sets at the Roots Picnic in Philadelphia, plus Paris on September 10 and Los Angeles on October 23 as part of the ongoing "Jay-Z30" anniversary campaign.
- Jay-Z partnered with Brooklyn Public Library on limited-edition library cards commemorating all 13 of his solo albums.
- Rick Rubin is directing an eight-part Jay-Z documentary slated for release later this year, and a pair of pop-up exhibits just launched in New York City.
Why it matters: For nine years, "Adnis," "Blue's Freestyle / We Family," and "ManyFacedGod" sat locked behind Tidal's paywall — including a rare Blue Ivy Carter feature that broader audiences had never been able to stream. With the tracks now live everywhere, Jay-Z's most recent solo body of work is finally complete for the majority of listeners, timed to his 30th-anniversary year.
