- Cheryl Reeve earned her 380th regular-season win as the Minnesota Lynx beat the Connecticut Sun 86-80, surpassing former Sun and Mystics coach Mike Thibault to become the winningest head coach in WNBA regular-season history.
- Reeve is the longest continuously tenured coach in WNBA history since being hired in Minnesota in 2010, following assistant stints in Charlotte, Cleveland, and Detroit where she was part of two championship-winning staffs.
- Reeve guided the Lynx to WNBA titles in 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2017 with Finals appearances in 2012, 2016, and 2024, and already held the record for most total wins including postseason play at 430.
- Reeve's career winning percentage of .660 trails only Las Vegas Aces coach Becky Hammon (.729), and she led USA Basketball to an Olympic gold medal in 2024.
- Reeve set the record without Napheesa Collier and rookie Olivia Miles (calf), leaning on a 26-15 fourth quarter with contributions from Antonia Delaere (10 points), Dorka Juhasz (12 points), and Anastasiia Olairi Kosu (team-best plus-11).
- The Lynx sit atop the WNBA at 16-6 after losing several key free agents in the offseason, with Collier nearing a return from injury as Reeve chases a league-record fifth title.
Why it matters: Reeve now owns the WNBA's all-time regular-season wins record with 380 victories, a milestone earned during a season in which she's already piloted a retooled, free-agent-shedding Lynx roster to the league's best record at 16-6. With Collier nearing a return and the Lynx chasing a record fifth title, the coach who defined Minnesota's dynasty is now also its present-day pacesetter.
