- "Heated Rivalry" won Program of the Year at the 42nd Annual TCA Awards — its latest U.S. honor alongside a Peabody and TV Academy Honor, though the show remains Emmy-ineligible because it originated as a purely Canadian production.
- "Widow's Bay" on Apple TV led all shows with three wins: Outstanding Achievement in Comedy, Outstanding New Program, and Individual Achievement in Comedy for Kate O'Flynn.
- Apple TV topped every streamer and network with five total wins, followed by Netflix with three and HBO with two.
- HBO's "The Pitt" won Outstanding Achievement in Drama, while Netflix's "Death by Lightning" took Outstanding Achievement in Movies, Miniseries or Specials.
- Rhea Seehorn won Individual Achievement in Drama for Apple TV's "Pluribus", and Stephen Colbert received the Career Achievement Award; his Late Show also won Outstanding Achievement in Variety, Talk or Sketch.
- "Squid Game" (Netflix) won Outstanding International Series and "The Traitors" (Peacock) won Outstanding Achievement in Reality.
- For the second year running, the TCA Awards were announced via press release and social media clips, skipping an in-person ceremony.
Why it matters: Apple TV's five-win sweep — more than Netflix's three or HBO's two — pulled TCA hardware across comedy, drama, children's, and animation categories, not just prestige drama. Meanwhile, "Heated Rivalry" keeps accumulating U.S. accolades it cannot convert into Emmy gold under current Canadian-production rules.
