Role
Kapil Samant is the sole editor of SkimNews. The editorial line is single-person: there is no committee, no team, and no investor pressure shaping what runs. Every story is attributed to its original publisher, and every summary is reviewed before publication.
Responsibilities
- Source selection across the seven beats (geopolitics, technology, finance, health, energy, sports, culture).
- Editorial review of every published summary.
- Corrections: Kapil reads every correction request, fixes the summary, marks the correction, and keeps the public log.
- Newsletter curation: the morning brief is hand-picked, not algorithmically assembled.
