Rooftop Films Adds 'It Ends,' 'Wild Inside' to Summer Slate

- Rooftop Films is expanding its 2026 NYC summer series with a new slate spanning narrative features, documentaries, and special outdoor presentations across all five boroughs.
- "It Ends," Alex Ullom's directorial debut and the latest horror from Neon, screens on the roof of New Design High School in the Lower East Side on August 14.
- "Wild Inside," Penny Lane's documentary following Central Park Zoo escapee Flaco the Eurasian Eagle-Owl, makes its world premiere at Central Park's Great Hill on July 29, presented with Sandbox Films.
- Sam Green's "The Oldest Person in the World" screens at Green-Wood Cemetery on July 23 as part of WIRED's WIRED@NIGHT series, following a decade of tracking supercentenarians.
- Prospect Park Alliance, Fort Greene Park Conservancy, and Rooftop Films will run a free "Summer Movies in the Park" series presented by NewYork-Presbyterian, screening "Shrek 2," "Akeelah and the Bee," "Space Jam," and "The Namesake" on Wednesday nights from August 5 through September 9.
- "Cookie Queens," Alysa Nahmias' coming-of-age documentary about Girl Scout Cookie season, makes its New York premiere at Msgr. McGolrick Park on August 4.
