- Bybit added six tokenized US stocks — Nvidia (NVDAX), Apple (AAPLX), Tesla (TSLAX), Robinhood (HOODX), Circle (CRCLX), and Alphabet (GOOGLX) — as collateral for margin trading, Crypto Loans, and Institutional Loans through its Unified Trading Account.
- The collateral offering is available to eligible retail and institutional users, subject to Bybit's lending terms and product availability, with each token backed 1:1 by underlying securities held by a regulated custodian.
- Bybit first launched xStocks in June via a partnership with tokenization platform Backed, initially listing more than 60 tokenized US stocks and ETFs on its spot market.
- Kraken, which agreed to acquire Backed in late 2025, began accepting select tokenized stocks and ETFs as collateral for futures and margin trading earlier this month.
- Bitget supports tokenized stocks as collateral too, rolling out futures margin in June before extending the feature to crypto loans in July.
- According to RWA.xyz, the tokenized equities market's total distributed value has grown from roughly $361 million in late July 2025 to about $1.72 billion today.
Why it matters: Bybit's expansion gives traders direct leverage against volatile megacap names like Nvidia and Tesla without liquidating crypto positions, deepening integration between traditional equities and crypto collateral markets. The broader tokenized equities market has nearly quintupled year-over-year to $1.72 billion, and competitors Kraken and Bitget are racing to offer the same collateral utility.
