- BYD completed a 2,700‑mile (4,395 km) journey on the Lianyungang‑Khorgos Expressway with its Song Ultra EV, the first pure electric vehicle to traverse the entire route.
- Song Ultra EV uses BYD’s Blade Battery 2.0 (68.4 kWh or 82.7 kWh) and can charge from 10 % to 70 % in 5 minutes, reaching 97 % in 9 minutes and 100 % in 12 minutes at –30 °C.
- BYD has deployed 5,979 Flash Charging stations across 312 Chinese cities as of May 15 and will begin rolling them out in Europe and other overseas markets later this year.
- Song Ultra EV launched on March 26 at a starting price of 151,900 yuan ($22,000), well below the anticipated 220,000 yuan ($31,900) price, and secured 61,240 orders in its first month.
- Flash Charging offers pre‑order customers 18 months of free service and provides a standard one‑year free charging benefit on all trims.
