- Netflix has started production on Season 3 of 'The Gentlemen' in the U.K. and Morocco, adding eight new cast members including Orlando Bloom, Elijah Wood, and Robert Carlyle.
- The series will see its lead characters, Eddie and Susie, embark on a new plot to build a casino in the Middle East, a marked shift from the UK-based story of prior seasons.
- Daniel Ings, who played Eddie's brother Freddy, is not listed among the returning cast, confirming a major character's departure after the first two seasons.
- Guy Ritchie, the show's creator, stated the show's ambition and world have 'accelerated' and 'expanded' for the third season, which will consist of eight hour-long episodes.
Why it matters: For Netflix, this high-profile casting and ambitious new storyline represent a significant investment in a proven franchise, aiming to retain and grow its audience. The departure of a core character introduces narrative risk, testing the show's ability to evolve without key original elements.
