Databricks launches Claude-powered Lakewatch security tool

Why it matters: Databricks is putting its freshly raised $5 billion to work in enterprise security, bundling two small acquisitions and Claude-powered AI into Lakewatch. Bringing in Splunk veteran Steve Zhang and Antimatter's data-control-plane IP gives Databricks instant SIEM domain expertise in two hires, letting it leapfrog years of internal R&D.
