- Hyundai cut the 2026 IONIQ 5 N starting price by $6,300 to $59,900, with director of product planning Ricky Lao calling it 'one of the most critically acclaimed models we've ever offered'
- The 2026 IONIQ 5 N now includes a native NACS port, allowing direct Tesla Supercharger access without an adapter — and ships with CSS-to-NACS adapters for Level 2 and DC fast charging
- The N Drift Optimizer expanded from a single stage to 10 stages, the only previous setting having drawn widespread attention
- N Grin Boost mode delivers up to 641 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque in a 10-second burst, paired with the N e-Shift virtual gear system that mimics an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission via the N Active Sound System
- Hyundai previously cut the standard 2026 IONIQ 5 by up to $9,800 last year, and the model now ranks as the third-most-popular EV in the US through the first half of the year
- The 2026 model also adds a Performance Blue Pearl exterior color, rear windows with auto down/up, and a dual-amp Level 1/Level 2 combination charging cable
Why it matters: Hyundai's $6,300 IONIQ 5 N price cut pairs with native Tesla Supercharger access, removing a key charging-infrastructure friction point for performance-EV buyers. The move follows last year's up-to-$9,800 cut on the standard IONIQ 5, which already ranks as the US's third-most-popular EV through H1.
