- Boerse Stuttgart Digital and Tradias completed their merger after clearing required ownership control procedures, creating a combined digital asset infrastructure unit with about 300 employees.
- Christopher Beck (Tradias founder) and Ulli Spankowski (Boerse Stuttgart Digital managing director) will serve as co-CEOs of the merged entity, which was first announced in February.
- The combined unit will operate under the Boerse Stuttgart Digital name while Tradias remains the brand for trading, headquartered in Frankfurt and Stuttgart with additional offices in Athens, Beirut, Berlin, Dubai, Madrid, Milan and Ljubljana.
- Boerse Stuttgart Digital serves institutions including DZ Bank, DekaBank, Intesa Sanpaolo and Société Générale-FORGE, while Tradias counts flatexDEGIRO, dwpbank and European government institutions among its clients.
- Tradias provides trading and market-making for more than 150 cryptocurrencies; the merged business offers trading, custody, staking and tokenization services, and financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Why it matters: The merger consolidates two of Europe's regulated crypto infrastructure providers into one unit serving banks including DZ Bank, DekaBank and Société Générale-FORGE, pairing Tradias's 150-plus cryptocurrency trading book with bank-grade custody, staking and tokenization — creating a broader one-stop institutional digital-asset stack across the continent.
