- England men's 2027 schedule begins with three away Tests in South Africa from December 17, 2026 to January 7, 2027, across Wanderers (Johannesburg), SuperSport Park (Centurion), and Newlands (Cape Town)
- The 150th Anniversary Test against Australia is scheduled for March 11-15 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, a standalone men's Test during the tour
- The men's Ashes returns to England with five Tests starting June 18 at Trent Bridge and concluding August 2 at Kia Oval; Australia currently hold the urn
- England men host Pakistan for a five-ODI series in May, Bangladesh for a one-off Test at Lord's (May 28-June 1), and New Zealand for white-ball cricket in September, before the World Cup in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia (October 4 - November 21)
- England women play the Champions Trophy in Sri Lanka (February 14-28), host Australia in the Women's Ashes starting June 24 at Headingley, and face Bangladesh in white-ball cricket in September
- Fixture caveat — the England Lions warm-up match against Australia (June 7-10, Old Trafford) is subject to review should Australia reach the ICC World Test Championship Final
Why it matters: Australia currently hold both the men's and women's Ashes, so England face a 2027 that includes five home men's Tests and a multi-format women's Ashes, while the men also contest a World Cup across three southern African nations. The MCG Anniversary Test slots a historic standalone into a year that compresses tours of South Africa, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand around it.
