Pentagon IDs Soldiers Killed in Iranian Strike on Jordan Base

- Pentagon identified Pvt. Isabella Gonzales (19, Carrollton, Texas) and 1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan (25, Ewa Beach, Hawaii) as the soldiers killed in an Iranian attack on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base, Jordan, on July 17 and July 18 respectively.
- CENTCOM says one U.S. service member remains missing after the attack, four others were medically evacuated and since discharged, and unidentified remains found at the site are undergoing forensic examination.
- President Trump told reporters on Sunday that "probably" three service members were killed — a figure the Pentagon had not confirmed as of Monday.
- U.S. strikes on Iran entered their ninth consecutive night Sunday, with CENTCOM stating the goal is degrading Iran's ability to target commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
- Gonzales and Feehan's deaths bring total U.S. troop fatalities in the Iran war to 16, with more than 400 wounded since the campaign began Feb. 28.
- Separately in northern Iraq, a U.S. service member was killed July 18 during disposal of unexploded ordnance from a downed Iranian drone; a second soldier was treated for a minor injury.
