- "Unleashed Spirits: The Rise of the Hollywood Vampires" will open the 42nd Boston Film Festival on Sept. 17, with Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, Tommy Henriksen, and director Daniel E. Television Group has partnered with Emerson College and Massachusetts College of Art and Design to host screenings and panels, including a "Next Gen" panel at Emerson on Sept. 17, a "The Voice" screening with Season 29 winner Alexia Jayy and exec producer Audrey Morrissey, and an "Adventure Time: Side Quests" screening at MassArt on Sept. 19 with creatives Nate Cash, Victor Courtright, Keith Pakiz, and Matthew Yang.
- Boston Film Festival executive director Robin Dawson said the 42nd edition showcases "extraordinary storytelling from both bold new voices and acclaimed filmmakers," emphasizing cinema's power "to connect us across cultures."
