- Isabel May is set to star in and executive produce Amazon MGM Studios' romantic comedy "Love Love," written and to be directed by Joey Power.
- The script, co-written by Power and Daniel Sweren-Becker, follows a struggling tennis phenom who falls for a charismatic ball boy at the US Open; production begins this fall in New York.
- RK Films' Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum and 3 Arts Entertainment's Ari Lubet and Jonathan Berry will produce; Power, May, and Alyssa Altman executive produce.
- "Love Love" marks May's second collaboration with Power, who also directs her in the upcoming romantic drama "Love Language" opposite Chloë Grace Moretz, Anthony Ramos, and Lukas Gage.
- May earned rave reviews as Elsa Dutton in Taylor Sheridan's Paramount+ western "1883" and narrated its follow-up series "1923."
- May's packed upcoming slate includes "Mr. Irrelevant" with David Corenswet (Dec. 25), Lionsgate's "Karoshi" with Tee Yoo (Jan. 29, 2027), "Falling" opposite KJ Apa, and Zemeckis-directed "The Last Mrs. Parrish" with Jennifer Lopez and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.
Why it matters: May has five films announced between December 2026 and January 2027 — a steep ramp from her '1883' breakout — including a Robert Zemeckis-directed project opposite Jennifer Lopez. Re-teaming with Joey Power on 'Love Love' after 'Love Language' signals the director is building May into a recurring creative partnership, not just a one-off casting.
