- Zelensky condemned Ukraine's largest defense firm for illegally storing weapons near civilian targets in Vyshneve, a practice he labeled 'expressly prohibited'
- Zelenskyy decried the housing of weapons in civilian areas after a Russian strike killed 10 people, linking the defense firm's storage practices to civilian casualties
Why it matters: Zelensky's public rebuke of Ukraine's own largest defense firm, combined with the 10 civilian deaths from the Russian strike that followed the weapons storage in Vyshneve, creates wartime political pressure for accountability inside Ukraine's military-industrial complex when such violations directly endanger non-combatants.
