- Betches will release "Sisters" this summer, its first original scripted long-form comedy series, based on its viral sketch series of the same name, with the company's co-founder and CEO Aleen Dreksler framing the expansion as evolution from a digital women's media brand into a "global cinematic universe."
- "Sisters" episodes will run 10-15 minutes with three dropping initially, marking a new long-form format for a company that previously specialized in short-form video segments.
- Tess Tregellas and Madeline Mahoney, described as homegrown Betches comedy stars, developed and star in the show, which will be distributed across Betches' Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube accounts.
- Betches generates more than 540 million monthly views across all channels and reaches nearly half of all women in the U.S., and is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year.
- Tan France is tapped for the return of the "Style Therapy" fashion franchise, with episodes running 1.5 to 2 minutes each.
- Lucy Rohden will host "Benched," a new 12-episode original social show under the Betches Sports vertical distributed on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
- Betches (formerly Betches Media) was acquired in 2023 by U.K.-based LBG Media, owner of viral-content brand LADbible, and is represented by CAA.
Why it matters: With Betches already reaching nearly half of U.S. women and generating 540 million monthly views, the shift to 10-15 minute scripted episodes is its first long-form format test under LBG Media ownership — a concrete test of whether a social-native publisher built on short-form clips can hold audience attention long enough to compete in scripted comedy.
