- Brad Pitt is on set of Amazon MGM Studios' motorcycle race movie "Isle of Man," which has been filming for roughly a week on the Isle of Man in the Irish Sea, coinciding with the actual Isle of Man TT race.
- Channing Tatum and Eve Hewson star in the film, directed by Reid Carolin from a script he co-wrote with Jason Keller ("Ford v Ferrari") and Bryan Johnson.
- The film is produced by Pitt's Plan B, Tatum and Carolin's Free Association, and Entertainment 360's Guymon Casady and Jason Keller, as part of a broader deal with Amazon MGM Studios.
- The Isle of Man TT is one of the world's deadliest motorcycle races — a single lap covers 37.7 miles at speeds up to 200 mph, with more than 150 rider deaths since 1903, including five in 2022.
- On Thursday, Pitt mingled with fans at the race's main grandstand and posed for photos with Italian rider Andrea Majola, lingering at the paddock to soak in the atmosphere.
- The Amazon MGM deal also includes a behind-the-scenes docuseries titled "The Greatest Race on Earth," shot during the 2024 Isle of Man TT.
- The cast reportedly also includes Ciarán Hinds, May Calamawy, Ruaridh Mollica, and Éanna Hardwicke.
Why it matters: By filming during the actual Isle of Man TT, the production captures authentic race atmosphere and footage that a soundstage can't replicate — but it also places a major Amazon MGM feature in the middle of a live, historically lethal motorsport event where 150+ riders have died since 1903. The bundled docuseries "The Greatest Race on Earth" gives Amazon MGM a multi-format play built around a century-old racing heritage.
