Blue Jays place Guerrero Jr. on 7-day concussion IL

- Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was placed on the seven-day concussion IL Saturday after a sixth-inning collision at third base in Friday's 3-1 win over the Yankees, when New York rookie shortstop George Lombard Jr. tried to leap over the sliding Guerrero and struck his head with his knee and thigh.
- Guerrero kept playing after the collision dislodged his helmet, scoring the tying run before looking dazed crossing the plate and being replaced by Charles McAdoo at first base in the seventh inning.
- Manager John Schneider said Guerrero had "a little bit of a headache" after Friday's game and still had a headache Saturday, which triggered the IL move.
- Guerrero is batting .263 with seven homers and 46 RBIs this season for Toronto.
- To replace Guerrero, the Blue Jays selected outfielder Daz Cameron from Triple-A Buffalo, designated right-hander Lazaro Estrada for assignment to open a 40-man roster spot, recalled left-hander Ricky Tiedemann, and optioned right-hander Chase Lee; Tiedemann went 0-1 with a 6.43 ERA across three minor league levels this season.
