- CJ ENM Hong Kong, the international production division of the Korean entertainment giant, sold a package of six Thai dramas produced by True CJ Creations to Amazon MX Player India.
- The six titles — Dear My Secretary, Good Doctor, 23:23, Start-Up, Happiness, and Thank You Teacher — are all Thai remakes of Korean IPs spanning romance, drama, sci-fi and thriller.
- All episodes will be available on Amazon MX Player's AVOD service from July 2, 2026, with Hindi dubs and English subtitles.
- True CJ Creations is a joint venture between CJ ENM and Thailand's True Corp, a telco and media conglomerate that operates pay-TV platform TrueVisions and streaming platform TrueID.
- Amazon MX Player, which has around 300 million monthly users, was integrated into its larger sibling Prime Video India earlier this year.
- CJ ENM framed the deal as evidence of Korean IP's adaptability and Thai content's cross-border "travelability," positioning the package as a content model beyond standard licensing.
Why it matters: Amazon MX Player's roughly 300-million-user AVOD tier gains six Thai-language K-drama remakes with Hindi dubs starting July 2, 2026, giving CJ ENM Hong Kong a free-to-stream distribution foothold in India. Indian viewers get non-Hindi, non-paywalled additions, while CJ ENM can cite the deal as proof its Thai remakes travel beyond Southeast Asia.
