- Tubi announced on Sunday a live-action feature adaptation of R.L. Stine's The Babysitter book series, targeting a 2027 release.
- Trevor Calverley is directing the adaptation from a script by a writer whose name is truncated in the announcement (beginning "Pumpk...")
- R.L. Stine's The Babysitter book series originally ran from 1989 to 1995.
- Tubi already has two R.L. Stine adaptations completed and a third currently in production, making the new project the streamer's fourth Stine title overall.
Why it matters: Tubi is rapidly building a Stine-specific horror footprint with this fourth adaptation, set for 2027 — deepening the ad-supported streamer's reliance on the author's late-1980s/1990s catalog as a sustained content pipeline rather than one-off IP grabs.
