- Gabriel Basso signed as a series regular on Guilty Creatures after production wrapped on the fourth and final season of The Night Agent; his character and role remain undisclosed.
- Julia Garner stars in and executive produces Guilty Creatures; Basso joins previously announced series regulars Lewis Pullman and Maddie Hasson, while Mary-Louise Parker will recur.
- Sarah DeLappe adapted Guilty Creatures from Mikita Brottman’s true-crime book “Guilty Creatures: Sex, God, and Murder in Tallahassee, Florida”; Craig Gillespie directs, Stuart Zicherman showruns and Tomorrow Studios produces.
- Guilty Creatures follows two young, adulterous but God-fearing lovers through romance and murder, examining their complex lives and the emotional toll of living as killers for 18 years in the Florida Panhandle.
- The Night Agent starring Basso as Peter Sutherland reached Netflix’s Most Popular English Series list during its first season; its fourth and final season premieres in January.
Why it matters: Apple TV’s project gains Basso as a series regular alongside Julia Garner, Lewis Pullman and Maddie Hasson, with Mary-Louise Parker recurring. The Night Agent has wrapped production on season four, while the fourth and final season premieres in January, giving Basso a dated audience return as Peter Sutherland while his next series assignment is already booked.
