- Daniel Dubois defends his WBO heavyweight title against Fabio Wardley on Oct. 17 in London, a rematch of their May bout that Dubois won via 11th-round TKO.
- Sebastian Fundora, the WBC junior middleweight champion, faces Ermal Hadribeaj on the same Oct. 17 date in Carson, California.
- Canelo Alvarez returns to the ring on Halloween for the first time in over a year, taking on Christian Mbili for the WBC super middleweight title in Saudi Arabia.
- Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury are set to meet in December in Cardiff, Wales, in what the source calls a 'long-awaited' bout.
- The article frames Oct. 17 as a doubleheader day with a heavyweight title rematch in London and a junior middleweight title fight in California running simultaneously.
Why it matters: Boxing fans get a loaded fall-and-winter stretch, capped by the long-awaited Joshua–Fury meeting in December and Canelo Alvarez's comeback from a year-long ring absence on Halloween in Saudi Arabia. The Oct. 17 doubleheader — a Dubois–Wardley heavyweight rematch plus Fundora's title defense — gives promoters two marquee bouts in a single day, concentrating pay-per-view inventory at year-end.
