- EAAA India Alternatives allotted 21.62 lakh equity shares to anchor investors at ₹1,665 per share on October 23, 2026, ahead of its IPO opening on October 26.
- Domestic mutual funds received 14.14 lakh shares, or 65.42% of the total anchor allocation, surpassing SEBI’s 33.33% cap for such investors in the anchor portion.
- SBI Midcap Fund and ICICI Prudential Smallcap Fund each received 2,28,231 shares worth approximately ₹38 crore, the highest individual allocations in the anchor book.
- EAAA India Alternatives raised ₹1,200 crore through an Offer for Sale (OFS) with a price band of ₹1,585 to ₹1,665 per share, fully subscribed via anchor placement.
- Kotak Infinity Hybrid Long-Short Fund and DynasIF Equity Ex-Top 100 Long Short Fund, classified as SIFs, were among the 13 schemes allocated shares in the IPO.
- Edelweiss Financial Services is the ultimate holding company for both EAAA India Alternatives and Edelweiss Mutual Fund, which are structured as fellow subsidiaries per the RHP.
Why it matters: Mutual funds’ 65% share of the anchor book—double the regulatory reservation—signals strong institutional appetite, but raises questions about allocation fairness. With 50% of shares locked for 30 days and the rest for 90, fund managers’ post-lock-in decisions will directly impact retail investors’ entry and pricing on listing day.
