- Sky Sports will make all 12 group matches involving England, Scotland, and Ireland, plus the semi-finals and final of the 2026 ICC Women's T20 World Cup, available to stream free without subscription via the Sky Sports App.
- Sky Mix will also carry each of the three home nations' first matches and the final free-to-air, while England's opener vs Sri Lanka at Edgbaston on June 12 will additionally broadcast on Sky One and Sky Sports' YouTube channel.
- The 2026 ICC Women's T20 World Cup runs from June 12 to July 5, concluding at Lord's; New Zealand are defending champions and England last won the title in 2009, when they also hosted the inaugural edition.
- Jonathan Licht, Sky's chief sports officer UK & Ireland, said the summer can be "a defining moment for women's cricket" and that Sky is acting as "a partner in its growth" alongside the ICC and ECB.
- Sanjog Gupta, ICC CEO, called the free-streaming move "a significant step" aligned with the ICC's strategy to "widen access for fans across screens and stadia" and "grow the next generation of fans."
- Nasser Hussain, Natasha Farrant, and Hannah Wilkes will deliver commentary, with Sky Sports and NOW holding exclusive UK rights to every match from the first ball at Edgbaston through the Lord's final.
- The tournament launches a women's cricket summer that includes a historic first women's Test match at Lord's between England and India starting July 10, followed by The Hundred's return later in the month.
Why it matters: Sky Sports is removing its paywall from over 15 Women's T20 World Cup matches — every home-nation group game, the semis, and the final — betting that free streaming and free-to-air TV will recruit new fans to women's cricket. The ICC and ECB explicitly frame this as a "fan recruitment opportunity," with the tournament followed five days later by the first-ever women's Test at Lord's on July 10.
