Three Tours Form Alliance Against LIV Golf

- PGA Tour, DP World Tour, and Asian Tour confirmed a new global alliance at meetings during the Open Championship at Royal Birkdale, taking immediate effect.
- The PGA and DP World Tours extended their existing strategic alliance until at least 2029; certain Asian Tour events will return to being co-sanctioned with the DP World circuit.

Why it matters: LIV loses its Asian promotion pathway and scheduling pipeline at the moment it most needs both — with Saudi funding already withdrawn and $350m in fresh investment not yet secured. From 2027 onward, the three incumbent tours control the route into the elite calendar, leaving LIV's star-laden roster without a clear re-entry path into traditional golf.
