- Ellie White and Natasia Demetriou are bringing their BBC sketch show back for a new series, with the pair now drawing on their real-life experience as mothers.
- Before either comedian was a mother, the duo wrote and performed a skit spoofing mothers in their 2019 sketch show pilot.
- The title of the interview references the pair's experience of failing to make comedian Bob Mortimer laugh.
- The interview discusses how the comedy duo is 'moving with the times' for the return of their BBC sketch show.
Why it matters: A returning BBC sketch show whose two stars were once spoofing motherhood and are now living it signals a shift in creative material — the series' new material will likely draw on lived parenting experience rather than imagined caricature, a tonal change from the 2019 pilot.
