- The Remarried Empress launches on Disney+ later this year as Studio N's biggest-budget production, starring Shin Min-a, Ju Ji-hoon, Lee Jong-suk, and Lee Se-young in a live-action adaptation of the popular webtoon, with CEO Kwon calling it "the eastern version of Bridgerton."
- Bloodhounds Season 2 premieres on Netflix on April 3, with popular Korean singer Jung Ji-hoon cast as the villain after a deliberate, extended casting search.
- The Legend of Kitchen Soldier received a Special Screening at Series Mania, where Korea is the festival's first Country of Honor; the Park Ji-hoon–led series was produced with CJ ENM's Studio Dragon and is based on a webtoon with 650M global views.
- Gosu is being co-developed as a Korean webtoon adaptation with Toei (the Japanese studio behind Dragon Ball and One Piece), with a pilot completed and a target release within two years.
- Studio N is owned by Webtoon Entertainment, parent of the Webtoon and Wattpad platforms, giving the label direct pipeline access to Korean webtoon IPs for international adaptation.
- Mikyung (Michelle) Kwon, Studio N's CEO, framed the company's broader mission as IP adaptation broadly — "we are not just going to focus on The Legend of the Kitchen Soldier."
Why it matters: Studio N's slate shows a Korean webtoon-to-screen export model going multi-platform almost simultaneously: a flagship Disney+ title, a returning Netflix franchise, a Series Mania showcase, and a Toei co-development. Direct IP access via parent Webtoon Entertainment gives the label a structural cost advantage over rivals licensing Korean content, positioning in-house adaptations as the export pipeline.
