Microsoft’s patch Tuesdays are about to get bigger

- Microsoft announced in a Thursday blog post that it's now using AI to "identify potential issues earlier" in its security development workflow.
- The shift means Windows 11 customers "will see a higher volume of security updates included in each security release," per Microsoft's statement.
Why it matters: Consolidating more fixes into each monthly release means IT administrators and Windows 11 users will face larger cumulative patches to triage and deploy — a departure from the narrower, more targeted updates Microsoft historically shipped.
