- BBC is set to broadcast a two-part docuseries about "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling, tracing her "dramatic rise, cultural influence and contested legacy"
- Rogan Scotland is producing the series, following their work on "Becoming Frida Kahlo"
- The series will use Rowling's life as a lens to explore three decades of cultural change, per the BBC's description (truncated in source)
Why it matters: A prestige two-parter from the BBC reframes Rowling as a generational case study, not just a children's-book author — the broadcaster is now officially weighing her cultural impact and controversies as a unified narrative, with Rogan Scotland signaling an artful documentary treatment rather than a tabloid tell-all.
