- Natasha Lyonne will receive the Maximo Excellence Award at the Italian Global Series closing ceremony at Teatro Galli in Rimini, and the five-time Emmy nominee will also participate in an in-conversation session at the event.
- The festival will screen the second season premiere of Poker Face, debuting in Italy on Sky in July, as part of Lyonne's tribute.
- The second edition of Italian Global Series runs July 3–6 in Rimini and July 7–10 in Riccione, with other confirmed guests including Happy Valley creator Sally Wainwright, Bertie Carvel, Serkan Çayoğlu, and Bates Motel creator Carlton Cuse.
- Nicholas Meyer will serve as President of the Limited Series Jury; Buffy the Vampire Slayer producer Marti Noxon will lead the Drama Series Jury; and Emily in Paris actor Bruno Gouery will head the Comedy Series Jury.
- The International Competition is split into Drama, Comedy, and Limited Series, with Maximo Awards for Best Series, Best Lead Actor, Best Lead Actress, and Best Creator/Director in each category, plus a Special Jury Prize.
- The Drama section opens with the debut screening of Benidorm Is Murder (a UK/Spanish production starring John Hannah) and Brazil's medical series Emergency 53, alongside international premieres of Gemma Arterton spy thriller Secret Service and Korean thriller Speaking Dead.
Why it matters: Italian Global Series is positioning itself as a boutique international TV showcase in only its second edition — handing its top honor to a five-time Emmy nominee like Lyonne signals ambition to attract Hollywood-tier talent, while securing jury presidents of Meyer's and Noxon's pedigree lends immediate credibility to the Maximo Awards competition slate.
