- Horror, Inc. is expanding the Jason Voorhees franchise across film, TV, gaming, immersive experiences, and merchandise as part of a multi-year strategy building on the IP's 45th anniversary in 2025.
- Peacock's "Crystal Lake" TV series debuts in October with Linda Cardellini starring as Pamela Voorhees, telling the origin story of "the mother of all slashers."
- Behaviour Interactive's "Dead by Daylight" launched a Jason crossover last month featuring three new skins — Backwoods Terror, Depths of Despair, and Death Forsaken — reimagining legacy versions of the character.
- "Sweet Revenge," a 13-minute short film, was shortlisted at Cannes and featured "some of the bloodiest Jason kills we've ever seen" plus an "unexpected final girl twist."
- Horror, Inc. executive VP Robbie Barsamian told Variety the 2026 slate is "just the tip of the iceberg" and teased additional unannounced projects.
- At this year's Licensing Expo, Horror, Inc. announced new brand and licensing deals, part of its effort to "make sure Jason remains the icon that he is for the next 45 years."
Why it matters: Horror, Inc. is seeding the 45-year-old Jason Voorhees IP across gaming, prestige TV, shorts, and consumer products — a multi-platform play rather than a nostalgia pump. The Peacock prequel and Dead by Daylight crossover open Jason to fans who've never watched a Friday the 13th film, and Barsamian's 'tip of the iceberg' line confirms more is in development.
