- "A Ghost in Your Ear" sets its New York premiere at Audible's off-Broadway Minetta Lane Theatre, running Tuesday, Sept. 29 through Sunday, Nov. 15, following a sold-out London run earlier this year.
- Jamie Armitage — Tony-nominated for directing "Six" — wrote and directs the immersive horror, which audiences experience wearing headphones featuring binaural sound technology inside a story about a late actor handed a ghost story in a recording studio.
- Audible Theater will release a recording of the play globally as an Audible Original after the stage run, extending the production's reach well beyond the New York engagement.
- The sound team includes Tony-nominated duo Ben and Max Ringham, whose previous credits span "A Doll's House," "Prima Facie" and "Waiting for Godot."
- The play was originally produced by HFH Productions and Playful Productions, with Anisha Fields on scenic and costume design, Ben Jacobs on lighting and Taylor Williams as casting director.
- Kate Navin, Audible's head of creative development in the U.S., called the production "exactly the kind of boundary-pushing work Audible Theater champions: innovative in its craft, unforgettable in its impact."
Why it matters: The dual-distribution model — a Minetta Lane stage run plus a global Audible Original release — turns a sold-out London hit into scalable platform content, giving Audible a marquee theater title. Armitage's "Six" pedigree also brings Broadway-tier credibility to an audio-first horror format.
