- Iran sent a nuclear proposal to the U.S. via Qatar, with Reuters attributing the report to a senior Iranian official.
- Qatar has a plan for Iran nuclear inspections under which the Strait of Hormuz could reopen, according to The Guardian.
Why it matters: For the U.S. and Iran, the concrete development is one nuclear proposal delivered through Qatar. The Guardian’s related headline places the Strait of Hormuz and inspections in the same Qatari plan, making Qatar the named link between nuclear diplomacy and the waterway’s reopening.
