- Zogsool won four prizes at the Busan International Film Festival's Vision Awards — the Vision of Jiseok Award, NETPAC Award, FIPRESCI Award, and a Hylife Vision Award — the most by any single film in this year's section.
- Directed by former cinematographer Sakhya Byamba, Zogsool was filmed on the Mongolian grasslands and portrays the chaos of the early days of the Covid pandemic.
- Korea's Full Moon, directed by Jeong Jihye, won three awards — the CGV Award, K-Movie Award, and Songwon Vision Audience Award for a Korean film.
- India's Selvi (dir: Sailesh Rathnakumar) won a Hylife Vision Award and the Taipei Film Commission Award, while a second Indian film, Birds In The Dark (dir: Shashank Walia), took the Songwon Vision Audience Award for an Asian film.
- The Philippines' Ria, directed by Arvin Belarmino, received the Heart of Eurasia Award.
- BIFF's main competition section awards ceremony is scheduled for October 15, with this year's Vision Awards featuring winners from at least ten countries spanning Mongolia, Germany, Korea, India, the Philippines, Iran, China, Japan, Kazakhstan, Syria, and Spain.
Why it matters: Zogsool's four-prize sweep is the largest haul by any single film in this year's BIFF Vision Awards, surpassing Korean entries Beyond Love's Horizon and Full Moon, which each took three. With winners spread across roughly ten countries, the Vision section remains one of Asia's most internationally broad showcases for emerging cinema ahead of BIFF's main competition ceremony on October 15.
