- Disney unveiled a slate of new theme park attractions at D23's Saturday Parks Panel as part of a billion-dollar expansion, including Avengers Infinity Defense, Stark Flight Lab, a Coco boat ride, an Indiana Jones attraction, an Encanto ride, and Villains Land.
- Avengers Infinity Defense, opening 2028 at Disney California Adventure, will be led by Iman Vellani reprising Ms. Marvel, with Robert Downey Jr., Anthony Mackie, Brie Larson, Jeremy Renner, and Chris Hemsworth all reprising their film roles.
- Avengers Campus at DCA adds Stark Flight Lab, a flight-spinning ride featuring mission briefings from Downey Jr., Mackie, and Larson, also set to open 2028.
- Harrison Ford will be modeled as an animatronic for the first time in a Disney park for Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent at Walt Disney World, the resort's first Indiana Jones attraction.
- Villains Land comes to Walt Disney World with a high-thriller roller coaster set on Maleficent's thorny briar mountain — featuring "elements never attempted before on a Disney theme park attraction" — plus a flume ride starring the Evil Queen's Magic Mirror.
- Disney California Adventure also gets a Coco boat ride themed around the film's Día de Muertos world and an Avatar Destination whose opening date has yet to be announced.
- Antonio's Fiesta de Encanto, an Encanto ride set inside the Casita, opens at Walt Disney World with the full original film cast reprising their voice roles.
Why it matters: Disney is making its biggest parks investment signal in years, with at least four new E-ticket-style attractions split between its two flagship U.S. resorts and an opening wave in 2027-2028 that anchors a multi-year capital plan. The reunification of the original Avengers A-list cast is a rarity for Disney parks, which more often recasts characters rather than booking the actors themselves — a tell that the company is leaning on IP star power to drive park visits as streaming growth flattens.
