- Violet McGraw has joined the cast of Curry Barker's 'Anything But Ghosts,' coming off M3GAN 2.0, Thunderbolts*, and the TIFF People's Choice Award winner The Life of Chuck.
- Curry Barker directed and co-wrote the film with collaborator Cooper Tomlinson; production has already wrapped in Vancouver, BC.
- Aaron Paul and Bryce Dallas Howard were previously cast alongside Barker and Tomlinson, rounding out the ensemble.
- Focus Features is distributing the film, its second Barker project after acquiring 'Obsession' out of TIFF Midnight Madness for $10 million+; 'Obsession' opens May 15 and currently holds a 96% Rotten Tomatoes score.
- Blumhouse-Atomic Monster, Spooky Pictures, and Divide/Conquer are producing, with Jason Blum, Roy Lee, Steven Schneider, Adam Hendricks, and Greg Gilreath credited as producers.
- McGraw broke through in Mike Flanagan's The Haunting of Hill House and is repped by Coast to Coast Talent Group, Linden Entertainment, and Shreck, Rose, Dapello.
Why it matters: Focus Features is betting on Barker twice in a row after a $10M+ TIFF pickup, and stacking the cast with McGraw, Paul, and Howard gives the post-'Obsession' debut real commercial gravity. For McGraw, a Blumhouse-produced genre vehicle extends her horror-adjacent run after M3GAN 2.0 and The Haunting of Hill House.
