- US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded more than $1.7 billion in net inflows over two days, with $715 million on Tuesday following a 2026 high of $999 million on Monday (SoSoValue).
- Total ETF assets reached roughly $111 billion on Tuesday, up 56% from the June 30 low of about $71 billion but still ~13% below the January 14 high of $128 billion.
- BlackRock's IBIT led Tuesday's inflows at $350 million, ahead of Fidelity's FBTC at $257 million and Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust at $99 million (Farside Investors).
- Bloomberg Intelligence's James Seyffart said the average Bitcoin ETF holder returned to profit for the first time since January as BTC crossed his estimated ETF cost basis of $81,722 per coin.
- Bitcoin traded around $86,000 on Tuesday and briefly topped $87,000 on Wednesday, sitting at $86,467 at publication — up 1.2% over 24 hours and 13.8% over seven days.
Why it matters: Average ETF holders returning to profit for the first time since January removes a key overhang — underwater holders face less selling pressure. Yet $111 billion in combined ETF assets remains 13% below the January 14 peak of $128 billion, meaning the rally has erased losses without establishing new highs.
