- Charli xcx told the Tape Notes podcast that the David Cronenberg spoken-word collaboration on closing track "No One Lasts Forever" from her No 1 UK album Music, Fashion, Film missed the vinyl deadline, so vinyl buyers receive a different version of the song praised by Variety as the heart of the album.
- Olivia Rodrigo's third album You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love has shorter tracks across its at-least-dozen vinyl configurations, with fans documenting missing bridges, outros, and other passages on songs including Honeybee, Maggots for Brains, and The Cure; Rodrigo let slip closer Cigarette Smoke was written only a week before the vinyl master was due.

- The Weeknd's first pressing of Hurry Up Tomorrow contained only 11 of the 22 digital tracks plus shorter or earlier mixes and missing guest contributions; it was followed by a later "complete edition" double-vinyl release.
- Beyoncé's first Cowboy Carter vinyl pressing was missing five songs from the digital version; she did not respond to requests for comment.

- UK vinyl sales hit 7.6m LPs last year according to the BPI — a 13.3% year-on-year rise and the 18th consecutive year of growth — but Savage warned the incomplete-edition trend amounts to "ripping off fans" and "may lead to buyer exhaustion and cause the bubble to collapse."
Why it matters: Fans paying top dollar for collectible vinyl editions are increasingly receiving abbreviated or differently mixed albums with no consistent label disclosure, and the physical campaign is now visibly intruding on the creative process itself — Rodrigo wrote her closer a week before the vinyl master was due. With UK LP sales at a record 7.6m and 13.3% growth, retailers like Skeleton Records fear the practice could trigger buyer exhaustion and pop the vinyl bubble.
