- Netflix wrapped production on Wednesday Season 3 and released a first look at Jenna Ortega at a typewriter in the title role, directed by Tim Burton.
- Season 2's first four-episode half drew 50 million views in its first five days, matching Season 1's launch, with Season 1 remaining Netflix's most-watched English-language series ever and Season 2 ending as the No. 10 most-watched title of all time on the platform.
- Eva Green joins Season 3 as Ophelia Frump, Morticia's sister and Wednesday's aunt, alongside newcomers Lena Headey, Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, James Lance, Oscar Morgan, and Kennedy Moyer.
- Winona Ryder reunites with Jenna Ortega and Tim Burton from "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" in the new season's cast.
- Season 3 was filmed in Paris and Dublin and follows Season 2's cliffhanger in which Wednesday sets off with Uncle Fester to rescue Enid, trapped as an alpha werewolf.
Why it matters: With Season 2 logging 50 million views in five days and landing as Netflix's No. 10 most-watched title ever, the streamer is doubling down on a proven franchise — and the addition of Eva Green and the Beetlejuice-era reunion with Winona Ryder signals an effort to widen the show's star power before the next rollout.
