- U2 will perform at halftime at SoFi Stadium on Nov. 25 when the Rams face Green Bay Packers, with kickoff set for 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET and the game streaming on Netflix.
- NFL is instituting what it calls “a new NFL holiday tradition,” using the Netflix broadcast to extend non-Super Bowl halftime programming to Thanksgiving Eve.
- Carnaval De Luz is U2’s first album of new material in nine years, and the band’s Nov. 25 performance will follow shortly after its release.
- Jesse Collins Entertainment is producing U2’s halftime show for Netflix and the NFL.
- Netflix and the NFL staged Christmas Day halftime shows in each of the previous two years: Beyoncé headlined the prior-year “Beyoncé Bowl,” while Snoop Dogg, Lainey Wilson, Huntr/X and Andrea Bocelli performed on Dec. 25, 2025.
- NFL and Netflix have yet to announce plans for a 2026 Christmas Day halftime show.
Why it matters: Netflix and the NFL previously staged holiday halftime shows on Christmas Day for two years; the Nov. 25 U2 performance adds Thanksgiving Eve to that slate. The booking pairs the new date with U2’s first album of new material in nine years and its return to an NFL halftime stage after February 2002.
