- Kristoffer Ajer scored late to earn Brentford a 2-2 draw at Aston Villa, extending the visitors' unbeaten start to the new Premier League season.
- Aston Villa's wait for a first home Premier League win of the season continues after the result left them unable to hold their lead.
Why it matters: Aston Villa's inability to convert at Villa Park is becoming an early-season pattern — still without a home league win — while Brentford's resilience in grabbing a late point underscores their emergence as a difficult side to beat in this campaign.
