- Phoebe Bridgers will premiere her "Lost Weekend" album in planetariums across 25 North American and 9 overseas cities during a five-day run Aug. 10–15, with Spotify producing in partnership with her label Dead Oceans.
- Two distinct visual presentations will accompany the listening sessions: a Laser Fantasy laser show and a custom audiovisual experience by night-sky photographer Babak Tafreshi, whose footage was shot in nearly 20 countries without CGI.
- Yondr pouches will lock up all phones and smart watches during sessions to prevent the album from leaking to the public before its Aug. 13 release.
- Midnight listening parties will be held in 300+ cities worldwide on Aug. 13 for fans without access to a participating planetarium, with the album officially dropping the same night.
- "Lost Weekend" is Bridgers' first solo album since 2020, following her joint Boygenius album and tour that further expanded her fan base.
Why it matters: Bridgers' first solo album since 2020 is getting an unusually physical rollout: Spotify-produced planetarium listening sessions in 34 cities with locked-phone enforcement via Yondr pouches, running Aug. 10–15 alongside 300+ midnight listening parties on the Aug. 13 release date — a rare experiential launch from a major streaming platform.
